Refund Policy
At Metrochic, we want you to be fully satisfied with your purchase.
Right of Withdrawal (14 days, EU law)
If you are a consumer in the EU, you have the legal right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of receiving your order, without giving any reason.
You are allowed to inspect and try on the item as you reasonably would in a physical store. If the item shows signs of use beyond what is necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and proper functioning, we may deduct an amount corresponding to this loss of value from your refund — we will not refuse the return outright on this basis.
To exercise your right of withdrawal, notify us before the 14-day period expires by emailing hello@metrochic.eu with your order number. You do not need to give a reason. You may also use this statement:
"I hereby give notice that I withdraw from my contract for the purchase of [item], ordered on [date], order number [number]."
Sending the item back
Once you've notified us, please send the item back to us without undue delay and within 14 days of your notification. Items should be returned in their original packaging where possible. Return shipping costs are your responsibility, unless the item is defective or not what you ordered.
We recommend using a tracked shipping method.
Refunds
We will refund you within 14 days of either:
- receiving the returned item back, or
- you providing proof that you've sent it back —
whichever is earlier. Refunds are issued to your original payment method. Please allow 1–5 additional business days for your bank or payment provider to post the refund. Original shipping costs are refunded in full; if you chose a more expensive shipping option than our standard option, we only refund the cost of standard shipping.
Defective or incorrect items
If your item arrives damaged, defective, or isn't what you ordered, contact us at hello@metrochic.eu — we'll cover the return shipping cost in that case and offer a replacement or full refund.
Exchanges
We currently don't offer direct exchanges. If you'd like a different size or item, please return your original item under the right of withdrawal and place a new order.
Goodwill returns after 14 days
Outside the legal 14-day window, returns are at our discretion and not guaranteed. Contact hello@metrochic.eu to ask.
